Position Description Ryder has opened a brand‑new state‑of‑the‑art warehouse in Port Deposit, MD and is immediately hiring permanent full‑time Cherry Picker Material Handlers.
Pay & Schedule
Hourly Pay: $21.50 per hour for day shift
Additional Pay: $1.00 per hour when working night shift
Schedules: Wed‑Sat 12‑hr Day OR Night shifts with half day on Wed

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
1+ year related warehouse or powered industrial truck experience preferred
Valid Forklift Operator's License
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as a team member in a diverse environment
Highly thorough, dependable, punctual with good attendance
Performs work independently with minimal supervision and high initiative
High accuracy even under pressure
Ability to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs, stand for long periods, work health & safety methods
Flexible to work various shifts
Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices
Important Note Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, and/or background checks.
Responsibilities
Perform warehouse functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
Work within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
Ensure accurate picking, packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks.
Handle day‑to‑day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hour.
Perform other duties as assigned.
