The Division of Administration/Office of State Buildings has a vacancy. This job title has an assigned pay grade of WS-213. The Office of State Buildings is responsible for the operations and maintenance of about 41 State buildings. This position provides skilled installation, maintenance and repair on heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration units in large office buildings, hospitals and multi-building complexes.
The Division of Administration is the state government’s management arm and the hub of its financial operations. Division offices perform a wide variety of activities including the following:
Overseeing the state’s capital construction program
Working to provide state and federal grants for community development
Development of the state budget
Providing technology services
Giving agencies guidance in the state purchasing and contracting process
Administering a program that provides federal funds to help residents recover from hurricanes
Minimum Qualifications Two years of experience or training in the installation and/or maintenance of heating, ventilating, or air conditioning systems.
Job Duties
Prevents maintenance duties on air handling units, motors, exhaust fans, fan coil units, DX units, PTAC units, window units, RTU units, cooling towers, and generators.
Repairs and maintains heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment in buildings or complexes requiring a total HVAC capacity of 20 tons or more.
Performs other duties assigned by the supervisory chain of command.
Position-Specific Details Appointment Type: This vacancy will be filled by a new hire or by promotion of a current permanent status classified employee. Compensation: Depends on the qualifications of the selected applicant.
