We’re looking for a detail-oriented
Accounts Payable Clerk
to join our Finance team. In this role, you’ll help ensure invoices are processed accurately and on time, supplier information is kept up to date, and company policies are followed. You’ll play a key role in keeping our financial operations running smoothly and supporting improvement activities across the department.
Position Details Position: Accounts Payable Clerk Location: Marion, IL Shift: 1st Shift Starting pay: $18.40/hr
What You’ll Do
Review and verify invoices for accuracy
Match packing slips with related invoices
Enter Accounts Payable invoices accurately and on time
Scan and upload invoices into the document control system
Research and resolve invoice or purchase order discrepancies
Collect W-9s and banking information from suppliers
Maintain supplier files, records, and internal documentation
Enter data for physical inventories as needed
Track and log invoices for approvals
Set up and maintain suppliers in the ERP system
Perform intercompany AP reconciliations
Confirm scheduled payments and ensure proper timing
Support departmental goals and assist with other duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Accuracy and speed in data entry
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer software
Strong math and problem-solving skills
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required
Prior Accounts Payable or related accounting experience preferred
Work Environment This position is based in an open office environment with frequent interaction across departments. You may occasionally be exposed to typical manufacturing conditions such as noise, dust, or odors, and may be required to use personal protective equipment (safety shoes and glasses) when entering production areas.
Physical Requirements
Primarily seated work with occasional standing and walking
Occasionally lift or carry items up to 40 lbs
Periodic bending, reaching, and handling of office or file materials
