Position Summary Provide intermittent coverage for the Speech Pathology department in an acute care setting. Diagnose and treat individuals with speech, language, voice, or swallowing disorders. Provide training about Speech Pathology to other healthcare providers as appropriate. May be asked to provide weekend and/or holiday coverage for inpatients. May also have opportunities to provide coverage for outpatients at Nebraska Medicine, Bellevue Medical Center, and/or Munroe Meyer Institute (e.g., Modified Barium Swallow Studies, adult outpatients, etc.).
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and treat patients with speech, language, voice, or swallowing disorders.
Provide training to healthcare providers as appropriate.
Offer weekend and holiday coverage for inpatients as needed.
Provide coverage for outpatients including modified barium swallow studies and adult outpatient services.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or related field.
Licensed or license‑eligible in the state of Nebraska in Speech Pathology.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
Proficiency with EPIC and One Chart.
No specific prior experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with inpatient speech‑language pathology services.
Experience with outpatient adult services.
