The Counseling Center at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte supports the holistic well‑being and academic success of students by providing clinical services, educational outreach programs, case management, and professional training. Primary Purpose of Position Under the supervision of the Director of the Counseling Center, this position provides direct service to students in the form of individual and group therapy, initial assessment, clinical consultation, and crisis intervention; consultation with faculty, staff, students, parents, and others; outreach and crisis response to the campus community; supervision of trainees and services to the University.
Summary of Position Responsibilities
Provides direct service to students in the form of individual and group psychotherapy, initial assessments, clinical consultation, and crisis intervention.
Consultation with faculty, staff, students, and others; outreach and crisis response to the campus community; supervision of trainees; and service to the University.
Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience Strong clinical skills, interest, and experience providing psychotherapy to a young adult/college student population.
Necessary Certifications/Licenses Full independent licensure in the state of North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
