The Shipping Supervisor is an exempt leadership position responsible for overseeing and managing all outbound shipping operations at Creminelli Operating LLC. This role ensures finished goods are shipped accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements, including USDA, SQF, and GMP standards. The Shipping Supervisor provides leadership to the shipping team, drives operational excellence, and supports continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage daily shipping operations to ensure on‑time and accurate order fulfillment.

Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate shipping team members.

Plan labor needs, assign work, and manage workflow to meet operational demands.

Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety, and workplace safety policies.

Review and approve shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing lists, and temperature records.

Coordinate shipping activities with Production, Inventory Control, Quality Assurance, and Customer Service.

Manage inventory accuracy, FIFO/FEFO rotation, and cold‑chain integrity.

Communicate with carriers and transportation providers to optimize service and cost.

Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, damages, or customer complaints.

Participate in internal, SQF, and USDA audits and lead corrective actions.

Analyze shipping performance metrics and implement process improvements.

Maintain audit‑ready conditions and organizational standards in shipping areas.

Support company initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or bachelor’s degree preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations within a manufacturing environment.

At least 1 year of supervisory or management experience.

Strong knowledge of GMPs, food safety regulations, and cold or frozen food shipping.

Experience with Microsoft Office and an ERP system.

Proven leadership, organizational, and decision‑making skills.

Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

Ability to work in a manufacturing, warehouse, and refrigerated environment.

Ability to occasionally lift up to 60 pounds.

Ability to work flexible hours as required to support business needs.
