Motor Grader Operator

Foreman / Superintendent / Project Manager
Job Summary TThe Motor Grader Operator is responsible for operating a motor grader to fine‑grade surfaces for road construction, site development, and utility projects. This role requires precision, attention to grade and slope, and the ability to work safely around crews, equipment, and traffic while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Operate motor grader to spread, level, and finish materials such as dirt, gravel, and aggregate to specified grades and tolerances *
Read and interpret grade stakes, plans, and instructions from supervision *
Perform fine grading for roadways, shoulders, ditches, pads, and subgrades *
Work closely with foremen, survey, and ground crews to ensure accuracy and efficiency *
Maintain safe operation around traffic control, pedestrians, and other equipment *
Conduct daily pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of equipment *
Perform basic maintenance and keep equipment clean (greasing, checking fluids, minor adjustments)
Identify mechanical issues and report them immediately *
Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and jobsite rules *
Maintain productivity expectations while ensuring quality workmanship *
Assist with other tasks as needed when grader work is not available.
