Assistant Director of Maintenance
Rochester Center is seeking a Full‑Time Assistant Director of Maintenance to work for our Skilled Nursing Facility located in Rochester, NY. Previous maintenance experience is necessary, Nursing Home setting preferred.
Base pay range:
$39,520.00/yr - $41,600.00/yr
Responsibilities
Assist the Director with the management of department operations and personnel.
Oversee regular inspections of the facility and equipment for safety, upkeep, and appearance.
Supervise and assign maintenance staff responsibilities and schedules.
Schedule and ensure completion of all maintenance and repairs.
Provide oversight of contracted maintenance/repairs to ensure timely completion of services.
Maintain records of all repairs, preventive maintenance, warranties, and inspections.
Coordinate department operations, budgets, and monitor expenditures.
Ensure all work is done in accordance with State/Federal and OSHA standards.
Requirements
Working knowledge of NYS Dept of Health regulations, OSHA, MSDS, CDC, boilers, compressors, generators, and various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
Strong work ethic, intense drive, initiative for quality service.
Solid computer skills; working knowledge of MS Office.
Extensive experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance.
Supervisory experience in maintenance, preferably in LTC settings.
Ability to multitask, stay on task, and maintain focus in stressful situations.
Evidence of basic leadership skills and supervision.
