Building Maintenance Technicians Wanted

The Public Works Department is searching for two skilled Building Maintenance Technicians, one with standout carpentry talents and another with expert-level plumbing skills, to help shape the future of our growing Town. From new parks and facilities, to everyday improvements across all departments, you'll take on hands‑on challenges that make a visible difference. Examples of Duties
Performing building preventive and reactive maintenance and repair work; responding to requests for building repair and maintenance; maintaining records.
Consults with Facilities Supervisor concerning work assignments;
Takes on wood working projects including framing, trim, and cabinetry
Investigate and repair above and inground plumbing including irrigation
Performs maintenance and repair work on electrical systems;
Installs, repairs and replaces electrical systems such as wiring, conduit, switches, receptacles, lighting fixtures, grounds, controls, relays and alarm systems;
Maintains logs, reports and job status records; utilizes an online computerized maintenance management system;
Determines tool and material requirements for assigned work;
Ensures that assigned work is accomplished in accordance with procedures;
Assists other departments with special events, concerts, etc.;
Installs, maintains and repairs plumbing fixtures in all buildings;
Does a variety of carpentry and mechanical work and repairing buildings;
Does some janitorial duties when required; helps to monitor janitorial contractor;
Performs related tasks as required.
Minimum Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent
Professional experience in commercial building maintenance, carpentry and / or plumbing systems is required.
A driver's license and good driving record are required.
Understand and demonstrate extensive knowledge of commercial buildings to ensure effective operations and maintenance.
Additional Information The salary range shown is the hiring range. The starting salary will be determined based on the selected candidate's skills and qualifications.
