Position Summary Provide support for the UNMC campus compensation/classification activities which includes job documentation, job evaluation, salary administration with guidance and direction from the Compensation Administrator. In addition, assist with Compensation and other department projects.

Required Education Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics or Human Resources.

Required Experience Less than 1 year of Human Resources Compensation and/or Finance related experience.
(Will consider additional related post‑high‑school education in lieu of required experience).

Understanding of human resource related laws and regulations.
Understanding of general compensation philosophy and methodology for conducting market analysis.

Ability to continuously learn and to pursue self‑development through personal study, training and education.
Strong analytical skills with attention to details.
Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality.
Ability to research trends and make recommendations based on trends or change of State and/or Federal laws.
Ability to take initiative to handle multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision. A strong sense of urgency and ownership is required.
Effective organizational, interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills (Written and verbal).
Proven project management skills, including relationship building and presentation skills.
Public contact position requiring appropriate business‑like apparel.
Regular attendance and timeliness is essential – Work schedule 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Ability to commit whatever time or effort is required to ensure customer/managers and employees needs are met.
Preferred Education MBA
Preferred Experience
Compensation administration experience to include job evaluations and market analysis.
Experience in an academic health science center.
Preferred License Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
