Department Sponsored Programs Administration
Position Summary This position supports the Sponsored Programs Administration (SPA) office by reviewing and processing grant applications, establishing internal accounts for funded projects, handling pre‑award responsibilities, and assisting with processing subcontracts.
Qualifications
Required Education
– Bachelor’s degree (post high school education may be considered in lieu of required experience)
Required Experience
– 1 year of experience with grants administration, sponsored programs or related areas
Required Computer Applications
– Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Good computer skills
Thorough knowledge of governmental and private sponsor guidelines, laws, and regulations related to research grants and agreements
Experience with database and spreadsheet software
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with electronic grants processing, contract and/or subcontract negotiations, data entry, and interpretation skills
Microsoft Outlook proficiency
