Your main responsibilities As an Existing Installation (EI) Sales Account Manager at Schindler, you will cultivate relationships with customers to drive sales for elevator and escalator services, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades. You will ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, as well as identify and pursue sales opportunities, manage existing and new customer accounts, and retain customers. You will act as a liaison between the customer and Schindler to build strong, long‑term relationships and leverage industry knowledge to achieve sales targets.
Customer Account Management: Build and manage favorable client relationships within a designated sales territory to secure and renew service agreements. Handle customer inquiries and ensure satisfactory resolution with a focus on revenue generation. Meet regularly with clients to understand their business requirements and develop solutions. Manage accounts receivable of your assigned portfolio, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
Sales & Opportunity Identification: Identify and pursue sales opportunities through key customer contacts and industry information. Qualify customer needs to secure profitable solutions leveraging company products and services. Introduce new technology and associated services, clearly illustrating the value to customers.
Negotiation & Strategy: Negotiate contract terms favorable to the company while delivering on customer requirements. Develop and implement sales strategies that align with internal product strategies and competitive market conditions with minimal supervision.
Documentation & Compliance: Prepare estimates and communicate proposals with customers. Maintain accurate customer records and files in accordance with company procedures. Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
What you bring Minimum Years of Experience: 2 (B2B sales experience in the elevator or related industry)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Customer Account Management (5‑10 years): Proficient in building and managing client relationships, able to handle challenging inquiries with a focus on revenue generation.
Negotiation & Strategy (5‑10 years): Experienced in negotiating contract terms and developing sales strategies aligned with customers’ needs and Schindler values, and compliant with all regulations.
Sales & Closing Skills (5‑10 years): Proficient in closing deals and securing agreements. Able to independently identify and pursue sales opportunities, qualify customer needs and introduce new services and technology.
Effective communication skills: Required when communicating with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and achieve objectives.
Leadership (5‑10 years): Ability to provide guidance and expert support to junior sales account managers and representatives. Proven track record collaborating with Field Superintendents and technicians.
Special Requirements
Effective presentation skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong communication, negotiation, objection handling and closing skills with a proven sales track record.
Ability to empathize, listen and connect with people to form outstanding customer relationships.
Excellent time management, organizational skills, and problem‑solving abilities.
Motivated, resilient, and customer‑focused mindset with a strong character aligned with Schindler’s values.
Experience with SAP and a results‑driven mindset to thrive in a competitive sales environment.
Demonstrated ability to handle a mix of office and fieldwork, with flexibility for travel and managing customer interactions.
