About the Role:
Maverick Power is seeking a skilled Equipment Maintenance Technician to support the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of programmable copper-processing machines, boss laser machine, and other plant equipment. This role is essential to minimizing downtime, optimizing production flow, and ensuring equipment is maintained to the highest standards within our 150,000 sq. ft. indoor manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance & Repair
Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on programmable copper-processing machines.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues; implement timely repairs.
Calibrate, test, and validate equipment to ensure it meets operational specifications.
Maintain and troubleshoot basic plant equipment including conveyors, motors, pumps, and tooling systems.
Operational Support
Work closely with production teams to monitor machine performance and support safe, efficient operation.
Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production interruptions.
Assist in machine setup, adjustments, and optimization as required.
Scheduling of necessary 3rd party vendors for work when required.
Primary POC for equipment and facility vendors when on-site.
Documentation & Compliance
Complete maintenance logs, repair documentation, and parts usage reports accurately.
Follow all safety protocols, lockout/tag-out procedures, and company policies.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support plant-wide reliability programs.
Facility & General Maintenance
Support upkeep of plant infrastructure and utilities as needed.
Perform routine inspections to identify wear, potential failures, and improvement opportunities.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
Knowledge of programmable or CNC-style machines (preferably metal or copper forming/processing equipment).
Basic electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and equipment diagrams.
Strong safety awareness and adherence to best practices
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with PLC controls or automated systems.
Welding, fabrication, or machining skills.
Maintenance certifications or technical school training.
Experience with German equipment (EHRT, Urban, etc.)
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
Must be able to navigate the warehouse and reach items both high and low.
Prolonged periods sitting, standing, walking, and performing repetitive tasks.
Must be able to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and work at heights for extended periods.
Prolonged periods standing on the manufacturing floor and sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must have vision correctable to 20/20 and be able to wear required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, boots, gloves, etc.).
Duties are performed in a loud production setting subject to extreme temperatures. Some duties may be required to be performed outside.
Work Environment:
May work in various settings at the Maverick Power facilities, in offices, in multiple shops, and in commercial buildings. Maintaining the same position or posture while performing tasks and sitting for prolonged periods.
