Position Description
Ryder is immediately hiring Permanent Full Time Warehouse Forklift Operators in Dekalb, Illinois.
Pay & Schedule
Hourly Pay: $20.30 per hour
Schedule: Three-and-a-half day workweek!
A Shift; Sunday - Tuesday 5:15 am to 4:45 pm and Wednesday 5:15 am to 11:15 am
Environment
Products Handled: Candy
Equipment Used: Stand‑up High Reach and Dock Lift
Facility: Temperature controlled at 60 °F

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience (preferred)
Valid Forklift Operator’s License (certified)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Team player in a diverse work environment
Professional relationships across all organizational levels
Highly thorough and dependable
Must be punctual with a good attendance record
Works independently with minimal supervision
High degree of initiative
High accuracy, even under pressure
Can lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs
Can stand for long periods
Follows health and safety methods
Available for flexible scheduling and various shifts
Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices
Important Note Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.
Responsibilities
Perform warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
Maintain performance measurement standards set by the contract
Accurately pick, pack, audit, stage products, and load/unload trucks
Handle day‑to‑day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core production shift hours
Perform other duties as assigned
