Purpose of the Position The Data Center Operations (DCO) Systems Technician will work as a team player to provide technical escort in support of all maintenance, operations, and expansion efforts; including critical infrastructure of power, cooling systems, communications, and facilities. Also, completing preventative maintenance as planned by Systems Management. In addition, this team member will be required to increase their knowledge base to grow within the company according to the requirements set forth in the job description and learn the facility requirements towards acting as first responders to critical infrastructure alarms.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for maintaining 100% critical systems uptime.

Alarm response: high temperature, UPS, UPS battery, health report error, fluid cooler, pump skid.

Accurate and timely completion of work orders and participation in policy and procedure development.

Handling different tools and equipment with precision.

Adherence to safety policy and procedure.

Assistance in inspecting buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions.

Performing assigned collateral duties and tasks assigned by management staff.

Ability to run and troubleshoot Modbus, CAT5, CAT6, or environmental wiring.

Attendance at assigned meetings and training.

Maintaining professional appearance.

Required Job Skills

Comprehension of assigned facilities electrical and mechanical systems that may be employed in a data center environment, including electrical feeders, transformers, generators, UPS systems, DC power systems, ATS/STS units, PDU units, breakers, batteries, load bank connections, CRACs, air handling units, fluid coolers, pumps, cages, and fire suppression systems.

Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and electrical drawings (blueprints/CAD).

Knowledge of safety, electrical, and cooling designs.

Must follow established safety practices and procedures in applicable situations.

Ability to work any shift in a 24x7x365 operation, including weekends and holidays. Shifts include

M‑Fri shift ,

Shift 1 – Sun‑Wed 10‑hour days 6:30 am‑5:00 pm , or

Shift 2 – Wed‑Sat 10‑hour days 6:30 am‑5:00 pm .

Must have good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Education High School Diploma or equivalent; and Technical Trade School related to Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of New Carlisle, IN.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 – $23.00/hr.
