Position Highlights We are seeking a talented Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the James C. Wyant College of Optical Sciences, working in Professor Rongguang Liang's research lab.

Our focus is on pushing the boundaries of 3D printing technology, particularly in the realm of organic and organic-inorganic polymeric materials with desired optical properties or functionalities.

Duties & Responsibilities

Develop novel materials suitable for advanced 3D printing techniques, particularly two-photon polymerization and vat photopolymerization.

Establish correlations between material performance and structural characteristics.

Contribute to the conception, design, and execution of research projects aimed at addressing specific challenges.

Pursue independent research interests while collaborating closely with internal and external scientists across varied disciplines.

Work within a multidisciplinary team environment to achieve research objectives.

Thoroughly document research findings, publish papers in peer-reviewed journals, and present results at conferences.

Minimum Qualifications

A Ph.D. in chemistry, polymer science, materials science, or a related field.

Experience in monomer synthesis and polymer synthesis.

Experience in various material characterization techniques such as SEM, TGA, DSC, DMA, FTIR, etc.

Experience in fundamental concepts in polymer chemistry.

Proven track record of innovative experimental design and execution.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with sol-gel chemistry.

Experience with powder-based organic-inorganic liquid suspensions.

Experience with photo-based 3D printing techniques.
