Electrician
for a contract opportunity with our client in
Nashville, Tennessee .
Overview The main function of an electrician is to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures. A typical electrician is responsible for inspecting, testing, maintaining or repairing electrical equipment.
Responsibilities
Measure, cut, and bend wired and conduit, using measuring instruments and hand tools.
Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order.
Perform semi-skilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment.
Disassemble defective electrical equipment, replace defective or worn parts, and reassemble equipment, using hand tools.
Examine electrical units for loose connections and broken insulation and tighten connections, using hand tools.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Technical degree or certification preferred.
8-10 years experience required.
Requirements
Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills.
Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
Basic knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.
Shift M-F, 7am-4pm
