The position will focus on hydroclimatic variability under climate change. The successful candidate will investigate changes in the seasonality, generation mechanism, intensity, and intermittency of precipitation in the southeastern United States, with specific emphasis on the role of land–atmosphere interactions and the link between vegetation–climate relationships and precipitation. River‑Coastal Science & Engineering is a diverse and welcoming community of scientists across civil, environmental, and coastal ocean engineering, with elements of geosciences and ecological sciences. The department focuses on the world’s river, deltaic, and coastal systems using a combined science and engineering approach. In line with the cross‑disciplinary nature of the department, the candidate is expected to build strong links with collaborators in the Departments of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, and the Tulane ByWater Institute.
