Job Description: Marketing Coordinator – St. Louis The Angel Band Project is a national nonprofit that uses the power of music to support survivors of sexual and intimate partner violence, promote healing, and inspire social change. Through trauma-informed music therapy, performances, education, and advocacy, we help survivors find voice, connection, and hope. We have served over 1,000 survivors to date—free of charge to both the participants and partner agencies we serve. Our team is small, mission-driven, and committed to dignifying, high-quality care.

Job Title Marketing Coordinator (Part-Time - 20 hours/week)

Reports to: Executive Director

Location: St. Louis, MO (in-person in the St. Louis Delmar Loop office)

Position Summary The Marketing Coordinator supports the mission of The Angel Band Project by developing marketing initiatives and communication pieces that amplify our message and expand our reach. This role plays a key part in raising awareness about the healing power of music therapy for survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner violence, and in strengthening connections with donors and community partners.

Key Responsibilities Marketing & Communications

Support annual marketing plans to increase visibility of programs, services, and events.

Create and manage content for social media, newsletters, website updates, and print materials.

Maintain a consistent brand voice through website content, social media, donor presentations and handouts, and other marketing materials that reflects the organization’s trauma-informed and survivor-centered values.

Track social media analytics, email engagement, and campaign performance to support data-driven decisions.

Coordinate storytelling efforts, including survivor-centered content (with consent and sensitivity to confidentiality).

Support press outreach, media relations, and promotional opportunities.

Event Support

Support online and in-person fundraising campaigns and events annually, including annual gala preparation in the fall.

Design campaign and event website pages, which include ticketing, auction item and raffle details, guest communication, and post-event follow-up.

Assist in committee meeting plans and communication for event management.

Donor & Community Engagement

Support donor stewardship through communications, written thank you letter acknowledgments, and event invitations.

Assist with maintaining donor records and engagement tracking in collaboration with the Development Director.

Administrative & Operational Support

Maintain organized digital files and marketing assets.

Assist in project coordination across teams, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met.

Provide support to the Executive Director as needed.

Qualifications

Experience in marketing and communications related fields (nonprofit experience preferred).

Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube), email marketing tools, and basic graphic design (e.g., Canva).

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Comfortable working in a mission-driven environment focused on supporting survivors of trauma.

Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends for events.

Ability to provide transportation to office and walk two flights of steps to the second floor office space.

Experience working in website platforms (such as Webflow) a bonus.

Pay: $25-30/hour, based on experience.

Some scheduling flexibility; occasional evening/weekend needs for events.
