We are seeking an experienced
Sr
Project Controls Professional
to support an ongoing site‑based assignment in
Spartanburg, SC or Baton Rogue, LA , with future projects also requiring on‑site presence across the U.S. This senior‑level role is ideal for a detail‑oriented and collaborative professional with a strong background in cost control and construction progress tracking.
You will work as part of a dedicated project controls team, collaborating closely with construction teams and vendors to ensure accurate cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

What You'll Do
Lead the setup, monitoring, and forecasting of project cost and progress metrics.
Manage all cost control elements, including
Budget development and updates
Scope change tracking
Expenditure and forecast reporting
Maintain accurate data in cost control systems and tools.
Analyze revenue and cost performance and recommend corrective actions to project and construction managers.
Review and approve contractor pay applications, ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
Track and report on construction physical progress using Earned Value Management (EVM).
Coordinate with contractors to collect and upload weekly progress data into project systems.
Here’s what you'll need
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field — or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
Minimum of 15 years of experience in project controls, with a strong focus on cost management and field operations.
Familiarity with construction contracts and pay application processes.
Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with project controls teams, construction teams, and vendors.
Willingness and ability to travel for on‑site assignments.
