Physician - Surgery - General
Job Details:
• Locum tenens opportunity with 7-10 days of call per month • No clinic or hospital work - beeper call only with 20-30 minute response time to hospital • Call shift times are 7am-7am • Low call volume expected at this small hospital (no trauma designation) • Approximately 6 patient encounters per shift • Must be comfortable with general surgery for adult patients • Required skills include appendectomy and GI endoscopy (upper and lower) • Sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy preferred • Active New Mexico license and DEA required • Board certification or board eligible within 5 years of residency required • BLS certification required • No trauma, pediatric, or complex surgical procedures required • Estimated credentialing timeframe is 60-90 days
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
