The hiring manager is open to candidates from public accounting with equipment leasing / financial services or an industry role from financial services.


Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage accounting operations, including accounts payable, invoicing, collections, and general ledger activities.

• Prepare and analyze financial data to ensure accurate entries into general ledger accounts.

• Perform account reconciliations for key balance sheet and income statement items, such as cash, prepaid expenses, and accrued liabilities.

• Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

• Coordinate the collection and submission of financial information to the parent company.

• Support the annual financial audit by preparing necessary documentation and reports.

• Provide leadership and growth opportunities for a team of five accounting staff.

• Monitor industry trends and best practices to enhance accounting processes and ensure compliance.

• Collaborate with management to prepare financial reports and address strategic business needs.

• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger management, account reconciliations, and financial reporting processes.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a team, fostering collaboration and detail-oriented development.
• Expertise in month-end close activities and preparation of financial statements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; additional certifications such as CPA or CMA are preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software tools.
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills for presenting financial information to diverse stakeholders.
