We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Manager to oversee essential financial operations for a nonprofit organization in Albany, New York. Responsibilities Include:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting processes, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger management, and payroll operations.

• Lead month-end closings and ensure timely preparation of accurate financial statements.

• Manage grant and fund accounting, ensuring proper tracking and reporting of restricted revenue.

• Develop and maintain internal controls, policies, and compliance standards.

• Coordinate audit preparation and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors.

• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to organizational leadership.

• Support the budgeting process and monitor financial performance against projections.

• Identify opportunities to optimize accounting systems and processes for improved efficiency.


Salary Range and Benefits: $70,000 - $80,000 base salary, with a generous benefits package including time off, hybrid flexibility, insurance, retirement plans, and more!

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of three years of accounting experience, preferably within a nonprofit organization, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of fund accounting principles and grant reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in nonprofit accounting software and tools.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience with financial statement audits and compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
