Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC)
facility that provides skilled nursing and therapeutic care for
medically complex children,
up to 12 hours per day, Monday through Saturday. Our mission is to provide

dedicated, caring nurses
to join our team in the following roles: Registered Nurse (RN) Position Summary:
All the relevant skills, qualifications and experience that a successful applicant will need are listed in the following description. Our RNs provide skilled, compassionate nursing care to children from birth to 21 years old in a developmentally appropriate, center-based setting. You will be an essential part of a multidisciplinary team that supports each child’s medical and developmental goals. Key Responsibilities: Provide nursing care following physician orders and individualized care plans.
Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and therapies.
Document all care accurately and promptly.
Monitor, assess, and respond to the needs of medically fragile children.
Communicate effectively with parents, physicians, and team members.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to care planning.
Qualifications: Current
Florida RN license
in good standing.
Current
CPR certification
(PALS preferred).
Pediatric nursing experience.
Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
Compassionate and dependable with a genuine love for children.
Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Position Summary: The ADON works closely with the Director of Nursing to oversee the daily clinical operations of the PPEC. This role combines hands-on nursing care with leadership and administrative responsibilities to ensure our children receive the highest quality of care. Key Responsibilities: Assist the DON with supervision, training, and support of nursing staff.
Oversee compliance with all clinical documentation and regulatory standards.
Support admissions, discharges, and care coordination.
Provide direct nursing care.
Participate in staff development, evaluations, and performance improvement initiatives.
Ensure effective communication with families, physicians, and the multidisciplinary team.
Serve as acting DON when needed.
Qualifications: Current
Florida RN license
in good standing.
Current
CPR certification
(PALS preferred).
Minimum two (2) years of pediatric nursing experience , with at least
six (6) months caring for medically fragile children
(PPEC, PICU, NICU, or similar setting within the last 5 years).
Previous
leadership or supervisory experience
preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
Positive attitude and commitment to supporting both staff and families.
