Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial and residential construction projects Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements to determine material, labor, and time costs Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather accurate data Develop bid proposals and assist in contract negotiations Monitor project budgets and provide cost-saving recommendations Maintain updated knowledge of industry pricing, market trends, and construction methods Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred) 3–5 years of experience in construction estimating Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite Excellent communication and negotiation skills Knowledge of local building codes, materials, and labor rates in Chicago About Jobot / Equal Opportunity
