The organization seeks one skilled Functional Administrator who will work under the direction of the functional program manager and closely with various project teams, departmental subject matter experts, and the vendor. The Functional Administrator will provide support throughout the pay cycle and must be capable of providing administrative and functional support to a workforce timekeeping system (Kronos Workforce Timekeeper V8 and Pro WFM) end users. This role includes providing staff-level support for the timekeeping system; acting as a liaison to departmental representatives; coordinating research into and resolution of user problems including system functionality, employee schedules, pay rule assignment, and timeclock configuration; and researching and responding to user inquiries and issues reported to the system help desk. Responsibilities
Assisting with the implementation of department-specific timekeeping-related processes and procedures used in conjunction with the timekeeping application Participating in the testing of system upgrades and service patches; creating and updating test scripts Participating in the process of reporting functional and technical issues ("bugs”) within the Kronos Workforce Timekeeper V8 application to the functional project manager for submission to the vendor Processing forms submitted by department representatives related to system administration functions, including but not limited to: Employee schedule change requests; Special manager access requests; Director delegation requests Resolving daily Transaction Assistant errors Providing help desk support for employees and department representatives, including individual ad-hoc training as required Performing validation and verification of timecard entries at the close of the pay period Participating in developing training materials and facilitating training sessions as required Creating reports for end users based on dynamic operational needs Creating and revising SQL/WIM queries to support operational needs and migration to the Boomi platform as part of the upgrade to Pro WFM (Dimensions) Performing updates to CRTs and Boomi functionality required on the UKG Pro WFM platform Configuring, re-configuring, and testing pay rules, work rules, and assignment rules in Kronos Workforce Timekeeper V8 as operational needs change, including new Pro WFM (Dimensions) features Configuring, maintaining, and testing timeclocks for various departments and locations; implementing new timeclocks as required Monitoring daily, weekly, and biweekly interface jobs to ensure timely imports and data accuracy; reviewing and recommending changes to Workforce Integration Manager interfaces, CRTs, and Boomi Reviewing and recommending changes to scheduling imports that affect timekeeping policies and processes Creating and modifying schedule patterns and/or groups as required Creating and modifying genies, Hyperfinds, and/or pay codes as operational needs change Updating holiday calendars, including affected pay rules and any special WIM jobs Required Expertise
Proficiency in Kronos Workforce Timekeeper V8 with the ability to quickly learn and understand existing system configurations Strong experience configuring pay rules, work rules, assignment rules, accrual codes, and profiles Proficiency in reviewing, creating, and modifying Workforce Integration Manager and SQL queries Experience creating reports using Kronos reporting tools and/or SQL Proficiency with Pro WFM (Dimensions) and Boomi platforms Boomi certifications preferred: Associate, Professional, and Empowerment Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels Experience processing administrative forms, including validating data accuracy, verifying authorizations, and ensuring audit-compliant storage and handling Ability to provide general system administration, including monitoring interface jobs, resolving Transaction Assistant errors, and creating/modifying genies and Hyperfinds Ability to apply personnel regulations and collective bargaining agreements to time and attendance configurations Experience providing functional application and process support to end users, including help desk support Experience with system testing, including upgrade, service patch, and regression testing Knowledge of automated scheduling systems such as Trapeze or TeleStaff, including ETL (extract, transform, load) processes Ability to create clear written documentation for new and existing processes and related issues Additional Qualifications
Possess basic knowledge of payroll practices and procedures Demonstrate the ability to quickly learn and understand departmental operational needs, including public safety environments Exhibit a high level of attention to detail Demonstrate strong ownership and accountability Be skilled in planning, organizing work, and setting priorities Thrive in a changing environment while maintaining a positive, solution-oriented mindset Have experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and automated email systems such as Office 365 Become familiar with applicable personnel regulations and collective bargaining agreements related to timekeeping policies and processes Seniorities and Employment
