Hi Folks, We are seeking a senior Salesforce Architect to design and support enterprise Sales & Service Cloud solutions for NY State. Strong experience with Flow, Apex, LWC, security, data management, and reporting is required. Hybrid in Jamaica, NY. $70/hr W2.

Title: Systems Architect (Salesforce)
Location: Jamaica, NY (Hybrid)
Duration: 30 months
Client: NYS - ITS
Rate: $70/hour W2
Position Description / Daily Tasks and Responsibilities
Salesforce consultant to support the new Salesforce solution.
Client interaction & requirements gathering: Meetings with clients – discovery sessions, status updates, workshops, Q&A. Gather business requirements via interviews, surveys, observation; document in user stories, functional specifications, and process flows; present proposed Salesforce configurations or customizations to clients; provide updates on progress, challenges, and next steps.
Salesforce configuration & development: Configure objects, fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules and automation (Workflow Rules, Process Builder, Flow). Customize with Apex code, Visualforce pages, or Lightning Web Components. Manage data via import, export, cleansing, and migration. Build reports and dashboards. Test configurations and code through unit testing, integration testing, and UAT. Troubleshoot and resolve bugs or user-reported issues.
Project management & collaboration: Track tasks, progress, and time in project management tools; collaborate with consultants, developers, administrators, and project managers; participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives; review and provide feedback on configurations or code; manage scope to keep work within agreement.
Learning & development: Stay updated on Salesforce releases; research new features; pursue certifications; read industry blogs and forums to stay informed about best practices and trends.
Documentation & knowledge sharing: Create and update user guides, administrator guides, and technical documentation; present findings or best practices to colleagues; maintain a knowledge base.
Mandatory Qualifications
84+ months of experience, able to provide guidance to large teams and regarded as top of the field.
Desired Qualifications
84 months of experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud configuration and administration.
60 months of experience designing, building, and deploying custom objects, fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules, and workflow rules.
60 months of experience using Process Builder and Flow for automation.
60 months of experience managing user profiles, permission sets, roles, and sharing settings for data security and access control.
60 months of experience creating and optimizing reports and dashboards for actionable business insights.
60 months of familiarity with the Salesforce AppExchange and ability to recommend and integrate third‑party solutions.
60 months of experience with Salesforce data management best practices (data loading, cleansing, de‑duplication).
60 months of experience with Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components.
60 months of experience with SOQL and SOSL for data querying.
