Agility Partners is seeking a qualified Software Design Engineer in Test (SDET) – Storage & File Systems to fill an open position with a Fortune 15 company based in the greater Seattle area.
This role supports core operating system storage and file system components by maintaining and modernizing test infrastructure that safeguards product quality at massive scale. You will debug and enhance legacy tests, reduce test noise, and partner with engineers to ensure high-quality product signals. This is an exciting opportunity to build deep systems expertise while working on features that impact billions of devices.
Responsibilities
Review test runs, triage issues, and distinguish product defects from test defects to maintain reliable quality signals.
Debug, fix, and modernize legacy test frameworks while reducing test noise across quality dashboards.
Open and manage incidents for product and test issues, following up with engineers on high-impact defects.
Develop and execute test plans, scripts, and documentation, and maintain defect databases and reports.
Qualifications
3+ years of hands‑on experience with C, C++, and PowerShell in a testing or systems development environment.
5–6 years of overall experience in software testing, quality engineering, or systems development roles.
Proficiency in C#, scripting, and debugging low‑level code preferred.
Experience writing test plans, scripts, and test result documentation.
Strong ability to analyze test results and provide recommendations to improve testing effectiveness.
Experience using bug tracking systems and managing defect lifecycles.
Associate’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
