The Admissions Director is a vital leadership role responsible for overseeing and directing the admissions process to achieve census growth and maintain strong relationships with referral sources. In a fast‑paced environment averaging 2–3 admissions per day, you will work with a great team of professionals and ensure a smooth, excellent start for every new resident.
Base Pay Range $65,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate the full admissions process in a high‑volume setting, responding promptly to inquiries, screening potential residents against admission criteria, and ensuring all necessary paperwork (applications, contracts, insurance details) is completed accurately.
Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with local hospitals, physicians, social workers, and other community referral sources to ensure a steady stream of new resident inquiries.
Represent the facility professionally at marketing events, networking opportunities, and tours to promote the facility’s specialized programs and services.
Collaborate closely with facility department heads to ensure a smooth transition for new residents, including coordinating room readiness and clinical hand‑offs.
Prepare and analyze weekly reports on admissions and referrals to track progress toward census goals and identify market trends.
Qualifications & Skills
Passion for senior care and a sincere desire to work closely with the elderly and their families.
Strong knowledge of healthcare admissions processes, including screening, documentation, and insurance verification.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment with multiple daily admissions.
Comfortable using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to build trust quickly with internal staff and external stakeholders.
