We are looking for a highly skilled Payroll Manager to lead payroll operations. This is a critical role responsible for managing a complex, multi-state payroll environment for both salaried and hourly employees. You will be the internal subject matter expert for Ceridian-Dayforce, ensuring systems are optimized and our payroll cycles—spanning both weekly and bi-weekly frequencies—are executed with 100% accuracy and compliance.
salary: $70,000 - $75,000 per year shift: First work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM education: Associate
Responsibilities
Oversee and execute full-cycle payroll for
weekly (hourly) and bi-weekly (salaried/hourly)
pay groups, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement.
Manage payroll taxes and filings across multiple state and local jurisdictions; ensure compliance with varying state labor laws, overtime regulations, and sick leave accruals.
Optimize system workflows, manage year-end configurations, and troubleshoot technical issues within the platform.
Oversee complex time-tracking for hourly staff (including shift differentials, OT, and meal break penalties) while ensuring accurate fringe benefit and bonus processing for salaried staff.
Lead all payroll-related audits (401k, Workers’ Comp, Tax). Perform regular reconciliations between Dayforce and the General Ledger (GL).
Ensure accurate processing of multi-state court-ordered garnishments, tax levies, and voluntary benefit deductions.
