Training Specialist (Finance)
Responsibilities
Design and deliver training programs for staff across multiple departments, with a focus on both in-person and virtual formats.
Develop instructional materials, including e-learning modules, job aids, and workshops, tailored to the specific needs of each department.
Coordinate and set up training sessions, ensuring all logistics, materials, and resources are in place.
Track attendance and maintain accurate records of training participation and completion.
Help roll out learning seminars across multiple departments and facilitate all training sessions.
Facilitate all Onboarding (New-Hire) trainings and serve as the trainer to conduct the week-long training; be expected to travel to both the Spring Valley and the Brooklyn office.
Track the New-hire trainees' progress, conduct a 30/60/90-day follow-up with the trainees and their direct report to receive feedback on their on-boarding experience, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Handle administrative tasks, such as managing sign-in sheets, distributing materials, and coordinating with office management.
Assess training effectiveness through feedback, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure all training content aligns with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Manage the learning management system (LMS) and track employee progress and certification.
Qualifications / Skills
Strong background in healthcare, preferably with hands-on experience in a managed care or healthcare setting.
Proven experience in instructional design; familiarity with adult learning principles is a plus.
Familiarity with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate) and/or learning management systems (LMS) preferred.
Strong communication skills to support interdepartmental collaboration, written correspondence, meetings, and issue resolution; contributes to training material development and facilitates training.
Strong project management and organizational abilities to oversee multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
