Position Type: Contract – Contract Duration: 3 months – Start: As Soon As Possible – Pay Rate: $22/hr – Training Schedule: M‑F, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (approx. 2 weeks) – Post‑Training Schedule: M‑F, 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM
Job Summary The
Shipper I
supports daily shipping, receiving, and inventory operations to ensure timely and accurate movement of products. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow established procedures, and a commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards. The shipper will prepare outgoing shipments, verify inbound materials, work within ERP systems, and handle documentation in accordance with
military, company, and customer requirements .
Key Responsibilities
Package and mark outgoing shipments in compliance with military, customer, and company standards.
Operate UPS and FedEx shipping/labeling equipment.
Maintain accurate records of all outgoing shipments.
Pack materials according to standard work instructions to ensure safe transport.
Prepare shipping documents, commercial invoices, mailing labels, and ensure orders are filled correctly.
Accurately address and label packages, compute freight/postal rates, and record shipment weight and cost.
Provide shipment information to internal departments (e.g., Finance).
Verify contents of incoming shipments against orders, invoices, and bills of lading.
Record conditions of received goods and barcode inventory at receiving points.
Identify and report discrepancies in quantity, pricing, or discounts.
Arrange adjustments with shippers for lost or damaged materials.
Control receiving platform operations, including weights and charges.
Ensure accurate physical receiving of materials/products to maintain inventory integrity.
Enter data and close shipments/receipts within ERP systems.
Deliver materials to appropriate departments.
Adhere to all
Aerospace SHE
(Safety, Health, Environment) policies and standards.
Required Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of stockroom, shipping, receiving, and inspection processes.
Strong communication skills across all organizational levels.
Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Experience using handheld inventory scanners.
Must be a
U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
due to export‑controlled materials.
Experience with computerized inventory systems (MRP/ERP).
Experience using pallet jacks, hydraulic lifts, or walking power lifts.
Nice‑to‑Have Experience
Safe forklift operation experience.
Familiarity with electronic inventory systems.
Barcode inventory experience.
Cycle counting or kitting experience.
Required Skills
Shipping/receiving operations knowledge
Inventory tracking (ERP/MRP) experience
Strong organizational and communication skills
