Part-time Prosthodontist - Assistant/Associate Professor
The Department of Restorative Dentistry at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine invites applications for a part‑time faculty member in prosthodontics. The position offers a salary commensurate with experience and a competitive benefits package.
Posting Summary Primary functions include teaching pre‑doctoral courses in fixed, removable, implant prosthodontics, occlusion, biomaterials, and operative dentistry; participation in the Master of Dental Science program; scholarly activity; research; service; and advising students. The faculty member may serve as course director for a pre‑clinical or postgraduate course and chair departmental committees.
Responsibilities
Teach pre‑clinical and post‑graduate courses in prosthodontics.
Participate in the Master of Dental Science program.
Conduct scholarly research and publish findings.
Advise students and chair departmental committees.
Assist in curriculum development and grant writing.
Qualifications
DDS/DMD from a U.S. or Canadian CODA‑accredited dental school.
New Jersey state dental license (or eligibility).
Certificate of advanced specialty training in prosthodontics from a CODA‑accredited program.
Board certification by the American Board of Prosthodontics (highly desirable).
Background in maxillofacial prosthodontics.
Board certification by the American Board of Prosthodontics (highly desirable).
Other relevant credentials.
