Riverside Health is currently seeking an experienced leader to join our well‑respected trauma and surgical critical care team at Riverside Regional Medical Center (RRMC) in Newport News, Virginia. As the
only Level II Trauma Center

Strong physician leadership and collaborative, multidisciplinary teams
Hospital Highlights
Single hospital coverage – not travel required
15.25 twelve‑hour shifts/month schedule
Team of 5 experienced Trauma Surgeons and 5 dedicated APPs
18‑bed Surgical ICU with full Intensivist support
Supportive in‑patient APP coverage 7 days a week
The only Level II Trauma Center in the Peninsula Region
450‑bed hospital, join a team of five Trauma Surgeons
Required Qualifications
Completion of ACGME both General Surgery Residency and Surgical Critical Care Fellowship
Board Certification / Board Eligible
Demonstrated leadership experience leading surgical critical care or trauma teams, collaborative interpersonal style, and solid oral and written communication skills
Collaborative approach with other physicians and APPs
Ability to provide guidance to other medical staff
