We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced
Corporate Controller
to oversee our accounting operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role, responsible for optimizing financial systems, building robust internal controls, and driving process improvements to support the company’s growth. This position requires a unique blend of technical accounting expertise and strong operational insight, particularly in environments where internal audit and compliance are critical to success. Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of the accounting function, including general ledger management, financial statement preparation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and revenue recognition. Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain audit-ready financial records. Develop, implement, and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls aligned with business objectives. Partner with operations, billing, and collections teams to ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition, including variable and project-based revenue streams. Collaborate with FP&A and executive leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making. Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial partners to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Oversee cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and treasury activities. Recruit, lead, and mentor a high-performing accounting team. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required. 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role. Deep knowledge of GAAP and internal controls over financial reporting. Proven track record of building and maintaining strong financial processes and controls. Experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or other complex operational industries preferred. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. He has a bachelor’s degree in finance from California State University at Long Beach. He is also fluent in Spanish. Raul volunteers for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles.
