Sewing Technician

to join our growing team and play a critical role in the fabrication of implantable cardiac devices. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a team and understands the importance of craftsmanship, consistency, and compliance when working on life-sustaining medical technologies. Responsibilities

Execute prescribed hand‑sewing techniques such as running stitch, whip stitch and over‑hand knots in the process of building heart valve repair implants. Perform hand‑sewing techniques under a microscope and inside a clean room. Record and document build activities. Apply technical ability, fine motor skills, and attention to detail. Adapt to changing priorities throughout the day. Use Google Suite, Microsoft 365 and comparable computer systems. Previous experience with medical device assembly is welcomed but not required. Work 100% on‑site in our Santa Cruz, CA facility. Skills

Familiarity with hand‑sewing tools such as suture, straight and swaged needles, needle holders, scissors and microscopes. Open to training; eager to learn with strong communication skills; honest about skills and abilities. Precise adherence to written manufacturing process instructions (MPI’s). Capable communicator able to carry out activities described in written instructions. Ability to work a full shift using a microscope inside a clean room. Detail oriented, and able to transcribe written information to production documentation. Experience within a Quality System for the production of medical devices is a plus. Requirements

Competent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent manual sewing skills. Competent in working using a microscope. Ability to sit for long periods of time and perform repetitive tasks. Why Join Us
