Goal of the Event Services Manager To proactively oversee and manage the daily operations of the Events Department. This role provides leadership, support, and direction to the Banquet team and Convention Services floor department. The Event Services Manager works closely with all hotel departments to ensure seamless event execution and consistently positive guest experiences.

Salary Range $76,700 to $95,900

Responsibilities

Support and manage the Event Services Department in partnership with the Food and Beverage Team and other hotel departments. Leadership responsibilities may also extend to Convention Services Set-Up and Banquet Beverage operations

Supervise, empower, lead, coach, and motivate the Banquet team, including captains, food servers, and lead house attendants, to deliver exceptional guest service and foster high associate engagement

Assist the hotel in achieving top service scores on Meeting Planner surveys through clear communication, detailed review of Banquet Event Orders, and coordination with guests and internal teams

Ensure all functions and meetings are set up accurately and on time while maintaining food, beverage, and meeting standards

Proactively assess and plan staffing and equipment needs to support successful event execution

Ensure effective coordination and execution of events with Culinary, Stewarding, Catering and Convention Services, Convention Services Floor, and Beverage teams

Maintain a high-energy, positive, and professional presence at all times

Develop innovative and creative décor concepts for banquet function spaces

Oversee both short‑term and long‑term banquet functions, including front‑and back‑of‑house operations

Create an environment that upholds the highest standards of service quality through effective hiring, training, development, promotion, and ongoing reinforcement

Complete administrative responsibilities including payroll facilitation, reporting, forecasting, point‑of‑sale procedures, inventory control, and food and beverage budgeting

Conduct daily walk‑throughs of banquet departments, function spaces, and storerooms to ensure compliance with Department of Health regulations and Hyatt corporate standards

Develop and contribute creative ideas for special events and holiday functions

Event Services Managers are a vital part of the hotel’s overall Food and Beverage team. You will collaborate closely with the Restaurant Manager, Executive Steward, Outlet Managers to support a successful Food and Beverage operation.

Qualifications

Full‑time management position requiring complete schedule flexibility, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts

Genuine desire to understand and anticipate the needs of others in a fast‑paced environment

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Proficiency in general computer applications

Highly creative, innovative, detail‑oriented, and organized

4 Years Hotel experience with a thorough understanding of all levels of banquet service

Demonstrated strengths including high energy, entrepreneurial mindset, motivational leadership, effective communication, strong training and development skills, and a commitment to exceptional guest service
