Responsibilities
Heritage Oaks Hospital is part of the UHS Family of Providers, a highly regarded provider in northern Sacramento and Northern California since 1988. A fully accredited, 125‑bed acute psychiatric hospital offering individualized treatment for adolescents, adults, and senior adults, including substance abuse and chemical dependency services. Heritage Oaks is a Medicare provider in addition to commercial insurance plans, committed to service excellence and optimal patient recovery. Assessment & Referral Registered Nurse (RN)
to join the admissions team. The Admissions RN ensures the admission process is carried out properly, utilizes the nursing process, and adheres to established standards of care, mental health practices, hospital policy, goals, and objectives. Admissions are managed in a timely and courteous manner. Conducts and documents the Direct and Comprehensive assessments required for patient disposition. Participates in screening patients for admission into hospital programs, utilizing pre‑approved admissions criteria. Reviews referrals and determines appropriateness for patient admission criteria with assistance of policy and procedures. Schedule:

Education:
Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program required. A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years as a registered nurse in a psychiatric healthcare facility preferred. Licensure:
Currently licensed to practice by the State Board of Nursing. Additional Requirements:
Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications. CPR certification and completion of the hospital’s training program, including de‑escalation and appropriate use of seclusion and restraint, required prior to assisting in procedures.
