The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position. We also take into consideration market benchmarks, if and when appropriate, and internal equity to ensure fair compensation relative to the university’s broader compensation structure. Benefits

The Graduate School of Education, Rutgers University invites applications for Summer Lecturers (Formerly PTLs) teaching positions in the Department of Learning and Teaching during the 2025 Summer Session (May 27, 2025 through August 13, 2025). Successful applicants will instruct undergraduate or graduate level courses in a demonstrated specialization and/or content areas (Math, Science, Literacy/English, Social Studies, Technology, Elementary Education, Language Education, Adult and Continuing Education and/or Foundation areas). Courses will be taught in a range of modalities. Course appointments are in the New Brunswick area, as well as hybrid/online format. Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Master’s Degree required. Doctorate Degree preferred. Applicants with other degrees from an accredited institution will be considered. Some prior teaching experience is also preferred. Physical Demands and Work Environment
Please note that the position requires the ability to sit for extended periods and to utilize a computer for the majority of the day. Statement of Expectations
Instructors are expected to return required paperwork, attend orientations, submit syllabi, respond to student emails, and submit assessments and final grades as per contract. Equal Employment Opportunity Statement
