Organization: SSC-Sutter Senior Care

Position Overview: Oversees, organizes and coordinates the overall operations of transporting patients, visitors, employees, personnel and supplies to and from facilities in a safe and courteous manner. Directs, implements and updates policies, procedures and protocols to streamline workflow, improve efficiency, and strengthen quality assurance. Oversees the efficient maintenance and operation of all equipment and supplies. Gains confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers through competent job performance, attentive monitoring and care, and effective communication. Routinely performs all duties of a Driver. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care.

Job Description Education

HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

Certification & Licensure

DL-Valid Drivers License

AUTO-Automobile Insurance

Passenger Endorsement Required

DL - California Drivers Class A, B, or C with Passenger Endorsement

Typical Experience

4 years recent relevant experience

Skills and Knowledge

Knowledge of patient transport policies and procedures and a basic understanding of vehicle operations and maintenance.

Keen problem solving ability; comfortable performing in unforeseen scenarios and quickly changing from one task to another.

Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Possess written and verbal communications skills to communicate with fellow team members, supervisors, patients, and other hospital personnel.

Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies and procedures to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

Work independently, as well as be part of the team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions.

Ensure the privacy of each patient’s protected health information (PHI).

Build collaborative relationships with peers and other staff members to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.

Compensation Pay Range is $26.51 to $31.81 / hour

The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
