JOB DESCRIPTION Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm (Overtime as required) Position Summary The Senior Material Handler is responsible for leading advanced material-handling activities to support production, logistics, and operational efficiency. This role requires strong technical skill, independent decision-making, and the ability to coordinate complex shipping, receiving, and inventory workflows. The Senior Material Handler serves as a key resource for training junior staff, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining high safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Material Handling & Equipment Operation Operate reach stackers, forklifts, and other heavy material-handling equipment to move, load, unload, and stage materials, containers, and equipment. Perform and document pre-operation inspections, routine maintenance checks, and report equipment issues proactively. Lead safe handling practices and ensure compliance with all company, OSHA, and equipment regulations Inventory Control & Material Flow Lead physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and reconciliation activities to maintain high inventory accuracy. Maintain stock of shipping materials, supplies, and consumables. Route materials to internal departments, kanban areas, and production lines to support manufacturing schedules. Pull, stage, and kit parts for assembly teams, ensuring accuracy and readiness for production. Leadership & Collaboration Serve as a senior resource for material-handling best practices, training, and mentoring junior team members. Work closely with logistics, production, engineering, and management to meet daily operational goals. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to warehouse flow, safety, and efficiency. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. 3 years of experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or logistics. Valid forklift certification; reach stacker or crane certification required. Strong understanding of shipping/receiving processes, inventory control, and warehouse documentation. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in warehouse environments. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
