Surgical Scheduler - Orthopedics - Full-Time Days – MHM Location: Miramar, Florida

Summary The Surgical Scheduler guides patients through the healthcare system, coordinating care, authorizing insurance, and ensuring high quality standards.

Responsibilities

Provide educational resources on medical conditions and treatment plans.

Coordinate care and schedule appointments, including telehealth, face‑to‑face, text, telephone, and e‑mail.

Collect and manage clinical data, including intake forms, photographs, health history, labs, images.

Work closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to facilitate care coordination and documentation.

Assist with obtaining authorizations and authorizing insurance for peri‑operative and peri‑procedural care.

Education and Certification

High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)

BLS American Heart E‑Card (BLS AHA ECARD)

BLS American Heart RQI E‑Card (BLS AHA‑RQI ECARD)

Qualifications

One year of experience in a healthcare setting.

Knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and EPIC.
