Overall responsibility for the finance and accounting department. Provide strategic insight for the management group, mentorship and coaching for the accounting group. Adheres to deadlines of timely group reporting (monthly, quarterly, yearly). Performs daily routines and month end procedures. Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts. Prepares variance analysis to budget and forecast. Monitor operating cash and expenses, report significant lags or variances to management. Maximizes return and limits risk on cash by managing cash balances and investments. Completes monthly cash flow analysis and forecasts. Manages accounting for inventory, accounts receivable/payable, and payroll. Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, documenting, publishing and enforcing financial policies and procedures. Protects company assets by establishing, monitoring and enforcing effective internal controls. Identify deficiencies in financial processes; design, develop and implement reporting processes to improve internal efficiencies. Ensure timely and accurate generation of financial statements and supporting information for applicable stakeholders. Comply with best practices, legislative changes and industry standards. Prepare journal entries and general ledger reconciliations. Review bank reconciliations for all corporate banking transactions. Respond to inquiries from external/internal auditors and management. Liaise between EPIC and external accountants for tax return and year-end review. Ensure GAAP adherence and stay informed of changes. Maintain document register and SharePoint site with up-to-date procedures. Calculate utilization and upload reports via SharePoint. Ensure confidentiality and privacy of financial records. Manage insurance coverage with brokers and input from the Business Unit Manager. Perform additional duties based on communication with senior leadership. Responsible for accounting staff development, training, and performance management including annual evaluations. Effectively manage accounting staff, delegating tasks and prioritizing multiple duties; travel domestically and internationally as needed. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. Related experience with a focus on Project Controlling. Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Solid understanding of payroll processes. Core Competencies
