Travel Recruiter – HCA Healthcare

You will manage the end‑to‑end recruitment process, from screening and negotiating compensation to contracting and supporting travelers throughout their assignments.

Responsibilities
Communicate with the Hospital Account Manager and travelers regarding availability, open positions and assignment changes.
Ensure schedule availability of all active travelers is updated and that documentation is entered into the system promptly.
Collaborate with housing, QA and other departments to guarantee that travelers begin assignments on time.
Provide housing department with updates on assignment changes.
Confirm travel staff compliance before placement.
Maintain accurate traveler information in the Travel Module.
Develop a growing pipeline of potential travel candidates using a variety of recruiting sources.
Generate and actively recruit referrals from current and former nurses.
Maintain consistent contact with travelers during assignments to keep service levels high by troubleshooting, counseling and problem‑solving.
Retain travelers through quality‑control calls and career‑path communication.
Communicate with the Director of Travel on any issues that could lead to cancellation of an assignment.
Consistently meet or exceed established individual and departmental goals.
Contribute to recruitment strategy discussions with other recruiters in the department.
Fully articulate facility requirements to candidates.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Manages multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
Works well independently and within a team.
Self‑starter with strong interpersonal, organizational and follow‑through skills.
Communicates effectively with travelers and employees of diverse personalities.
Basic computer proficiency (MS Outlook, Excel, Word).
Maintains a clean and safe working area per environmental and safety regulations.
Education & Experience High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
1–3 years of recruiting experience, preferably in healthcare.
Certificates / Licenses None required.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions
Exert up to 20 lbs force occasionally and/or 10 lbs frequently.
Requires prolonged sitting and intermittent bending, stooping and stretching.
Requires eye‑hand coordination and manual dexterity for keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment.
Requires listening to normal speaking levels with or without correction.
Requires adequate vision to record, prepare and communicate reports.
Requires typing dexterity.
Work performed in an office environment with frequent contact with staff and the public.
