WIC Administrative Support - Clarke
Position in the Georgia Department of Public Health – Clarke County Health Department.
Job Overview Pay Grade: D Job Code: GSS081
Responsibilities
Assist in day-to-day operations of the WIC clinic
Determine eligibility of participants of the WIC program
Perform general clerical duties, issue coupons, answer the telephone, and make appointments
Update and download immunization information from GRITS
Follow up on no-show clients, prepare and send participant correspondence, and appointment reminders
Greet participants of the WIC program with courtesy and communicate participants’ rights and responsibilities and the use of WIC coupons
Work as a fill-in during the absence of other agency staff on an as-needed basis
Participate in in-service and staff meetings, including external meetings and trainings as requested, which include state-mandated training sessions
Perform any other work as assigned by the supervisor
Minimum Qualifications High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of general office or administrative experience.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in healthcare or public health. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
