Position Description
Responsibilities
Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit.
Cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee’s Premier Card of core values and beliefs.
Responds promptly and corrects all verbal guest complaints.
Prioritizes guest contact with completion of required table visits.
Maintains departmental inventory levels.
Ensures product preparation and presentation meet company standards by performing line checks.
Schedules employees to meet sales demands.
Maintains effective safety and security programs.
Promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation.
Performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs to the General Manager/Area Director.
Promotes quality recruitment and referrals of prospective team members and management candidates.
Promotes Flynn | Applebee’s training procedures for new managers.
Helps maintain a trained staff through effective uses of employment orientation, individual training sessions, employee meetings and implementation of company policy and training systems.
Participates in continuous employee development using One‑on‑One and performance documentation, supporting completion of written evaluations.
Assesses employee efficiency, provides fair feedback and works with employees on development areas.
Monitors acceptable employee performance and documents situations that may require disciplinary or corrective action.
Assures compliance with company policies, practices and procedures.
Controls costs in assigned department.
Complies with local, state and federal laws, regulations and guidelines.
Drives bi‑weekly and weekly food and liquor inventories at AD/GM’s request.
Prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork.
Ensures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee’s standards.
Provides a role model for managers and employees.
Develops skills on all store‑related technology.
Willing and able to work in all positions and assist in a team member position as needed, including cooking, expo, seating, bartending, etc.
Uses the Management Development Program for continuous growth of leadership skills and proficiencies.
Education and Experience
At least 2‑3 years of restaurant management experience.
Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications (plus).
Compensation:
$15.38 to $26.44 per hour ($44,850 to $68,500 annually based on a 50‑hour work week). Potential for monthly bonus where applicable by location.
Physical Standards
Work various shifts, including weekends.
Stand for up to ten hours, maintaining well‑paced mobility.
Safely lift pots, pans, glassware, boxes, etc. up to 50 pounds.
Read and write to facilitate communication. Must possess finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment.
