As an Assistant Manager you will oversee daily operations, ensuring guests and staff enjoy a positive experience every day. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit. Cultivates a culture in accordance with Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of core values and beliefs. Ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to staff and self. Ensures guest contact as a priority by completing required table visits established by Flynn Applebee's standards. Maintains departmental inventory levels. Ensures product preparation and presentation meet company standards by performing line checks. Effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands. Maintains effective safety and security programs. Promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation. Performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs to the General Manager/Area Director. Promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team member and management candidates. Promotes Flynn | Applebee's training procedures for new managers. Helps maintain trained staff through employment orientation, individual training sessions, employee meetings and company policy and training systems. Participates in continuous employee development using One-on-One and performance documentation, and contributes to written evaluations. Assesses employee efficiency, provides fair feedback, and works with employees on development areas. Monitors acceptable employee performance and documents situations that may lead to disciplinary action. Ensures compliance with company policies, practices and procedures. Controls costs within the assigned department. Complies with local, state and federal laws, regulations and guidelines. Drives bi‑weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories on request by the AD/GM. Prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork. Ensures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee's standards. Provides a role model for managers and employees. Develops proficiency in all store‑related technology. Willing and able to work in all positions, assisting in teams as needed (line cook, expo, seating, bartending, etc.). Uses the Management Development Program for continuous growth of leadership skills and proficiencies. Education and Experience
At least 2-3 years of restaurant management experience. Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications are a plus. Compensation
Applebee's® Assistant Managers earn $15.38 to $26.44 per hour, approximately $44,850 to $68,500 annually based on a 50‑hour work week. Potential monthly bonus may apply by location. Physical Standards
Work various shifts, including weekends. Stand and move for up to ten (10) hours. Lift pots, pans, glassware, boxes, etc., up to 50 pounds. Read and write to facilitate communication. Possess finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment. Workplace Privacy Notice
