As a Physical Therapist, you will evaluate, plan, direct, and administer medically prescribed physical therapy programs in the hospital to restore function and prevent disability following disease or injury, or loss of a body part. You will assist patients in reaching their maximum performance and reintegrating into society while learning to live within their capabilities.
Responsibilities
Assess patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and administer therapies to restore function.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the health‑care team.
Document progress, outcomes, and modifications to treatment plans in patient records.
Educate patients and families on exercises, home care, and preventive strategies.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to evidence‑based practices.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association‑accredited training program, or foreign-trained applicants who have completed the entry‑level equivalency review.
California Physical Therapist License at the time of hire.
National Provider BLS certification (American Heart Association) at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in acute care, skilled nursing facility, outpatient, or sub‑acute care settings.
