Location : Essex County, NJ.

Pay : $45.00–$75.00 per hour based on skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities

Provide individual in‑home therapy, group therapy sessions, telehealth therapy, and outpatient center sessions.

Conduct bio‑psycho‑social assessments and develop treatment plans.

Teach coping, social, and anger‑management skills; reduce risk behaviors such as self‑injury or physical aggression.

Support youth and caregivers in making effective decisions to manage behavioral challenges.

Collaborate with the Child & Family Treatment Team and other professionals supporting the youth and families.

Mentor newly hired therapists and interns, providing guidance, feedback, and support in clinical practices.

Submit all required documentation and paperwork within designated timeframes (intake, treatment plans, DAP notes, etc.).

Attend monthly meetings and complete mandatory clinical documentation.

Must be able to complete or willingly train for bio‑psycho‑social assessments.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related field.

Active license in New Jersey (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC, LSW, LFT); out‑of‑state license holders considered if reciprocity applies.

Minimum 5 years of post‑licensure clinical experience working with youth with mental health disorders.

Experience mentoring, supervising, or training junior therapists and interns.

Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling training.

Willingness to complete crisis intervention training.

Experience with treatment planning, progress notes, initial assessments, and goal setting.

Proficiency in counseling approaches such as CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma‑Informed Care.

Knowledge of DSM‑V for assessments and diagnosis.

Experience providing positive behavior supports.

Prior experience with children ages 3‑20; experience with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) is a plus.

Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

Ability to pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.

Must submit resume plus copies of master’s degree and NJ license or certification.

Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.

Availability during after‑school hours (12 PM – 8 PM); weekend flexibility is a plus.
