We are seeking a Bookkeeper with property accounting experience. A Property Bookkeeper manages all financial records for real estate, handling rent collection, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll, and vendor payments, ensuring accurate financial reporting for properties, using accounting software, and providing financial data for owners and managers to understand property health. Key duties include tracking income/expenses, preparing financial statements, managing ledgers, and assisting with budgets and audits.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Processing invoices, paying vendors, managing bills, and tracking incoming payments.
Rent Collection:
Recording rent payments, managing delinquent accounts, and handling eviction paperwork if needed.
Financial Record Keeping:
Maintaining accurate ledgers, recording debits/credits, and updating the general ledger.
Bank Reconciliation:
Matching bank statements with internal records.
Financial Reporting:
Preparing financial statements, trial balances, and assisting with budgets and forecasts.
Payroll:
Managing employee payroll for property staff.
Software Management:
Utilizing accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) for all transactions.
Audits & Compliance:
Assisting with audits and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Experience in bookkeeping and property management.
Proficiency with accounting software.
